Warrant Officer Ziv Dado, a courageous and dedicated soldier, tragically lost his life at the age of 36 while battling Hamas in southern Israel on October 7th, 2023. Ziv is from the city of Rehovot, and served as a logistics supervisor in the renowned Golani Brigade's 51st Battalion. His commitment to his duty and his unwavering sense of responsibility made him an indispensable asset to his unit.

Upon receiving news of the attack on that fateful day, Ziv immediately rushed back to his base in Kissufim, determined to provide assistance to his fellow soldiers. However, fate had a cruel twist in store for him. While en route, he was ambushed killed by a group of terrorists.

In a devastating turn of events, the terrorists abducted Ziv's body, holding it captive in Gaza for a two weeks. It was a period of immense anguish and uncertainty for his family, friends, and the entire nation. However, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) special forces launched a daring operation to retrieve Ziv's body, successfully rescuing him from the clutches of his captors and returning him to his grieving loved ones in Israel.
