Seargent Major (res.) Ofir Mordechai Yaron
On the morning of October 7th, Ofir and members of Kibbutz Magen’s security team were called to go to the kibbutz perimeter fence after terrorists breached the fence and entered the kibbutz grounds, not far from the community’s residential area. The security team deployed in front of the kibbutz houses and waged a close range holding battle against the heavily armed terrorists until the arrival of IDF forces many hours later. Ofir fell during this battle.
Ofir is survived by his wife Olga and daughters Emma and Dana
